THE WALKS COLLECTION
The countryside where I live is a rich source of inspiration. During the Covid lockdown I began a series of paintings on small panoramic panels, based on sketches I make when I am out and about. These have become small snapshots of landscape, often slotted together like jigsaws - a reflection of the distinctive patterns I see in the ploughed fields, lines of trees and rolling hills of the Hampshire countryside. More abstract than many of my larger paintings they are a celebration of colour and mark, a record of the seasons changing and a reminder of why I love to paint
