Towards Roake. Wind on Wheat
Oil on board, 19 x 25cm in natural wood tray frame
Roake Field. Seen from above. Sometimes I clamber over brambles and through the trees to get to a patch of ground under a tree where I can sit and paint undisturbed. This is a Summer’s day after weeks of dry weather and the wheat is just beginning to turn. I love watching the wind blowing through the wheat so that it almosts looks like water against the trees and hills behind.
