I painted this one Spring day last year sitting on the cliffs on the walk between Gunwalloe and Loe Bar in Cornwall. I took my inks and oil paints with me and painted this quickly just to get an impression of beach and cliffs beyond. It is in essence a study, but sometimes these little preparatory works stand on their own as a personal expression of the landscape that means so much to me.
