Storm over Beaminster
Oil on wood, 30 x 40cm, natural wood trayframe, FREE UK SHIPPING
I am part of a group of painters who meet up during the year to paint together. It forces me to immerse myself in different landscapes and experiment with colour which is the most important part of my practice. For this painting I had to climb a fence and park myself under a tree because the sun was blindingly hot. The hills and trees of this part of Dorset rolled away in front of me and I had to sketch quickly to catch the raincloud and light before it moved away. A red landscape to reflect the July heat.
