Le Braye. Late Afternoon.

Sale Price:£1,080.00 Original Price:£1,200.00
sale

Oil on aluminium, 55 x 80cm, on a subframe ready to hang. PLEASE CONTACT ME TO ARRANGE DELIVERY IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO COLLECT.

This seascape is inspired by the beach at Le Braye cafe along St Ouen’s Bay in Jersey. The largest Channel Island is my family home and I return there with my children every year. I know this 6 mile bay like the back of my hand and have spent years swimming, surfing, walking dogs and painting here. Bespoke panels of aluminium are my go to surface for seascapes. There is something magical about sanding and drilling into the metal so that it reflects the light and the painting looks different from every angle.
