When I meet my group of fellow landscape painters we invariably end up painting around Arundel in West Sussex. There is a fabulous view across water meadows from the small village of Burpham. This painting was begun in situ and finished in my studio - the inevitable rainclouds of this Winter speeding across the sky and a cold north wind which decided my colour palette for me. Emerald green, unbleached titanium, indigo and a touch of magenta.
