Oil on wood 30 x 40cm UNFRAMED

A new painting inspired by this well trodden walk near Porthleven. I visit Cornwall regularly and this part of the South coast is the most wonderful place to paint. When you walk towards Loe Pool from Gunwalloe you are rewarded with this view of the lake stretching back towards Helston. When I painted this I had to pin my board down to stop it blowing away but I was rewarded with wonderful stormy skies and glimpses of light catching the edge of the lake and the tips of the hills beyond.
