This little painting is inspired by Loe Pool, near Porthleven in Cornwall. Loe Pool is Cornwall’s largest inland lake and it is separated from the sea by a narrow strip of shingle beach known as Loe Bar. Even in the worst weather you can walk around the perimeter and find a peaceful place to paint. This was painted from the East side looking across to the tree lined hill opposite. The water taking on a wonderful deep blue colour in contrast to the green sea just a short step away.
